Renowned Nigerian songstress Aramide is back with her brand-new EP, titled Hear Me Out.” This EP marks Aramide’s return to the music scene after a three-year hiatus following her critically acclaimed EP, “Bittersweet.” The new record is a blend of Afro-pop, R&B, and pop, that showcases Aramide’s artistic growth. It’s a deep and introspective journey that explores themes of vulnerability, self-discovery, and the complexities of life. With five soul-stirring tracks, the EP also highlights personal struggles, aspirations, triumphs, love and the journey towards rediscovering self-confidence. The production expertise from Wondah on each track, adds that extra layer of gloss to the EP, which ultimately cuts across as a playful yet powerful exploration of life’s inevitable ups and downs, reflecting Aramide’s vision and songwriting talents.

Pressure” starts off the EP with an utterly infectious intro, thanks to the uplifting production by Wondah. The two-minute composition finds Aramide detailing her present struggles with life and the impact it’s having on her, leading her to withdraw from social interactions. Despite the captivating soundscape and theme of the song, “Pressure” fails to really grab your attention, coming off as a weak link on the EP.

Track 2, “Pray” follows the same theme, discussing personal struggles, the endless and relentless pursuit of success, and the determination to overcome life’s never ending challenges. It truly captures the essence of striving for an honest livelihood while navigating stress, fear, and inevitable setbacks. She acknowledges the past’s unchangeable moments but embraces the present with gratitude. The song serves as a reminder that second chances do exist.

The EP closes with “Pretty Girl Bop,” which sounds like it could easily be found on a Wizkid album. There’s a sultry aura to this tune, as Aramide creates an anthem for the superficially beautiful ladies. Wondah delivers yet again with an arresting production, that will get you moving in an instant. The track is another testament to Aramide’s ability to write about literally anything and everything. She is capable of blending different musical influences, creating a sound that evolves with the times.

Her passion for life, love, and addressing critical issues continues to shine through on this project. The “Hear Me Out” EP is out now and is a must-listen for lovers of heartfelt music.
