Réna makes her debut with “Teach Me How To Love You.”
Indonesian artist, Réna is introducing herself with “Teach Me How To Love You,” her debut single. The Germany-based singer turns a personal experience of companionship into a song about learning another language of love. “Teach Me How To Love You” grew out of a simple and factual realization; that sometimes, loving someone means learning how both parties need to properly communicate with love. Inspired by Réna’s bond with her dog, the single is heavily focused on the small things that make up a relationship, such as being attentive, understanding each other without any words, and gradually learning another being’s way of expressing affection.

As a budding artist, Réna’s music tends to explore love, intimacy, memory, and the little things that often say more than words. Musically, “Teach Me How To Love You” sits between indie folk and acoustic pop. Built around acoustic guitar and Réna’s soft, close-up vocal delivery, the song keeps its production deliberately restrained, allowing the lyrics to carry the emotional weight. Soothing yet wrapped in a deep sense of melancholy, the single offers a beautiful melody that will certainly appeal to fans of ballads with an emotive undertone. Lyrically, the song is well crafted, highlighting Réna’s earnest approach to songwriting, while offering a tender glimpse into the relationship between humans and their pets.
“Teach Me How To Love You” marks the beginning of “Soliloquies,” — a project exploring different forms of love and the conversations we have with the people, memories, and relationships that shape us. This body of work will unfold through a series of releases over the coming year. For now though, we do hope you enjoy this debut from an artist taking her first steps into the music scene.
