Canadian indie-country act, Sarah Lake wants listeners to immerse themselves in the little details when it comes to love, on new single, “Say Things.”
Sarah Lake is a wonderfully gifted singer and songwriter from Canada. An indie-country artiste, she started her journey on American Idol, where she made it to the top 20. She then moved to New York City, where she met her husband, Grammy-Nominated producer, Ernie Lake. Now based in Nashville, Sarah’s music videos have been viewed over one million times on Youtube and have aired on platforms like Tidal. Her songs have been featured on Nashville Award Winning Radio station Lightning 100, CBC Country, Sirius XM, Apple and Spotify Curated Playlists.
As a songwriter, she has had cuts with artistes including The Voice finalist, Moriah Formica, Tegan Marie, Jillian Steele, Mandi Sagal and Runaway June. She has opened for Sam Hunt, Lindsay Ell, A Thousand Horses and Anderson East, playing in festivals such as Southern Wilds amongst others. Back in 2023, Sarah signed an admin deal with Sentric Music and currently writes as a member of their sync department.
Sarah’s latest release, “Say Things” is a laid back, country pop gem, co-written by Alyssa Newton. The new single puts the spotlight on a generation full of fast paced relationships, with the hope that the song can give listeners permission to slow down and enjoy the little things about love and dating. The beautifully constructed piece of art is currently featured on Apple Music curated editorial playlists, namely: New In Americana and New Music Daily.
