Chris Ho announces bittersweet pop anthem, “Loveyoulikethat.”
Based out of Vancouver BC, Chris Ho is a recording artiste, who makes music for dreamers and seekers, while writing about the messy parts of being human. His sound is intimate, cinematic, and bridges indie-folk roots and pop ambition. So far, his discography includes an EP, two full-length albums, and several singles.

Ho’s new track, “Loveyoulikethat” marks a fun, uptempo and heartfelt diversion from the mellow, downtempo and dreamy folk sound of his previous single, “Borrowed Books,” which continues to be a fan favorite. Brighter and more pop-driven, “Loveyoulikethat” blends glossy synths, smooth vocals, and emotional authenticity.
The song was inspired by conversations Ho had with friends and students about relationships where they lost themselves, while trying to be what someone else needed. Despite its commercial and more upbeat appeal, the track does not come from a superficial place.
It’s a musical offering about choosing yourself and the realization that you don’t have to keep giving your energy to people who only drain it. “Loveyoulikethat” certainly has a raw feeling and energy to it, but it’s done in a way in which people can easily connect with it right away.
Musically, the song offers a bittersweet pop experience for hopeful romantics. With its cinematic production, retro-synth shimmer, and indie-folk undertones, it’s a sad yet hopeful tune at the end of the day. A well constructed track, “Loveyoulikethat” sees Ho bringing a new and fresh take on his approach to music, with a truly impressive and captivating result.
