“Beloved” is a twinkling synth-pop gem from the globe-trotting twin duo
Say Lou Lou is a musical duo comprising of twin sisters, Miranda Anna and Elektra June Kilbey-Jansson. The sisters sing in a psychedelic sort of fashion, with the potential to put the listener in a musical trance. Their brand of music is simply called “dream pop.”
The track, “Beloved,” is taken from the duo’s “Better in the Dark” EP and is a twinkling synth-pop gem with a strong appeal. It’s a hi-fi soaring piece of work that cuts straight to the core of a brilliant duo with boundless promise, as the glacial elements swoop together to create an almighty and life-affirming crescendo. “Beloved” finds the sisters accusing their lovers of not showing enough care and affection towards them, making them wonder if they are truly “beloved.”
