The Boxer Rebellion evolve on grand track “New York”
It’s said that in the current climate, survival is the true measure of success and The Boxer Rebellion are doing much more than that. “New York” presents itself as an evolution in aesthetic, diverse in soundscapes but singular in grand ambition.
Exploring the darker corners of love, loss and grief, this track leans towards the band’s more cinematic elements for a gloriously widescreen journey. Towards the end of the song comes a lovely, hi-fi, soaring conclusion, that’s ultimately cathartic. It’s honestly one of their best tracks till date.
